In a tightly contested matchup, the Washington Commanders narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 24-22 in Week 15 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams brought their best, but it was the Commanders who emerged victorious in a thrilling finish. Jordan Love led the way for Washington, showcasing his skills with 245 passing yards and three touchdowns, effectively navigating the Falcons' defense. Meanwhile, Terry McLaurin was his top target, racking up 110 receiving yards and providing crucial plays when it mattered most. On the ground, Bijan Robinson kept Atlanta competitive with a strong performance, amassing 120 rushing yards. Defensively, the Commanders made key stops that ultimately shifted the momentum in their favor, including a critical sack from Odafe Oweh. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Washington's defense held the Falcons to a field goal after a promising drive, allowing the Commanders to maintain their slim lead and secure the win. Harold Perkins Jr. of Atlanta was a standout on defense with seven total tackles, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome in this gripping showdown.
