The Minnesota Vikings secured a convincing 31-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With both teams vying for critical positioning in the standings, the Vikings' dominant performance showcased their readiness for the postseason. Demond Claiborne was the standout for Minnesota, rushing for a staggering 233 yards and finding the end zone twice, propelling his team to a commanding win. Tyler Shough led the Falcons' passing attack with 210 yards and one touchdown, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Vikings' offense. Kyle Pitts Sr. contributed as well, racking up 81 receiving yards in a losing effort. Defensively, the Vikings were relentless, led by Harrison Smith's eight total tackles and Dallas Turner's two sacks, which disrupted the Falcons' rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Claiborne broke off a 75-yard touchdown run, shifting the momentum firmly in Minnesota's favor and leaving Atlanta struggling to catch up. A.J. Terrell Jr. did manage an interception for the Falcons, but it was not enough to stem the tide of a well-rounded Vikings effort.
