In a closely contested matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons 24-20 in Week 10 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Chiefs who came away with a crucial victory to keep their postseason hopes alive. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes showcased his elite passing skills, throwing for 290 yards, while Kenneth Walker added a solid ground game with 91 rushing yards. Jeff Caldwell was a reliable target, leading the receiving corps with 92 yards. Meanwhile, Falcons quarterback Tyler Shough managed to find the end zone once, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Chiefs' offensive firepower. On the defensive side, Kansas City’s Drue Tranquill stood out with 10 total tackles, helping to stifle Atlanta's offensive efforts. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Cooper DeJean intercepted Shough, setting up a crucial touchdown that ultimately secured the win for the Chiefs. Despite Jalon Walker's impressive 1.5 sacks for Atlanta, it was the Chiefs' defense that made the key plays when it mattered most.
