In a decisive victory, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Washington Commanders 35-17 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for a stronger position in the playoff race, the 49ers showcased their offensive firepower to secure the win. Brock Purdy was the standout performer for San Francisco, throwing for 343 yards and an impressive five touchdown passes. His connection with George Kittle was particularly lethal, as Kittle racked up 209 receiving yards, consistently finding space in the Commanders' secondary. Together, they orchestrated a high-flying attack that kept Washington on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, San Francisco applied pressure effectively, with Gracen Halton recording two sacks to disrupt the Commanders' offensive flow. Renardo Green's interception added to the 49ers' dominance on that side of the ball, stifling any momentum Washington hoped to build. The turning point came early in the second half when Purdy threw his fourth touchdown, giving San Francisco a commanding lead that Washington could never fully recover from.
