In a closely contested matchup, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-21 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. The victory keeps the Texans in the playoff conversation, while the Jaguars struggle to find consistency as they head deeper into the season. C.J. Stroud led the Texans' offense with a strong performance, throwing for two touchdowns and showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers, particularly Nico Collins, who racked up 94 receiving yards. On the ground, Bhayshul Tuten kept the Jaguars competitive with a solid 90 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win for Jacksonville. Defensively, the Texans made crucial plays that influenced the game's outcome, with Calen Bullock recording a key interception that shifted momentum in the second half. Will Anderson Jr. anchored the defense with two total tackles, helping to stifle the Jaguars' offensive drives when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, as Houston's defense held strong, preventing Jacksonville from converting critical third downs and ultimately sealing the victory.
