In an impressive season opener, the Green Bay Packers topped the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 35-21, setting the tone for their 2026 campaign. The victory not only showcases the Packers' offensive firepower but also establishes them as a formidable contender in the NFC North. Jordan Love led the charge for Green Bay, throwing for an impressive 321 yards and five touchdowns, connecting with Christian Watson for 111 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs added a strong ground game, rushing for 99 yards, effectively complementing the Packers' aerial assault and keeping the Vikings' defense on its heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Packers made a significant impact with Brandon Cisse's two interceptions, which proved pivotal in shifting the momentum. The Vikings struggled to find rhythm, and Dallas Turner's sole sack was not enough to disrupt Love's effectiveness. The turning point came in the second quarter when Cisse's first interception set up a quick touchdown for the Packers, helping them build an insurmountable lead that the Vikings could never fully recover from.
