The Houston Texans topped the Washington Commanders 35-20 in a decisive Week 14 matchup, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season winds down. With both teams vying for critical wins, the Texans delivered a strong performance to keep their postseason hopes alive. Offensively, Davis Mills led the Texans with two touchdown passes, while David Montgomery showcased his skills on the ground with an impressive 113 rushing yards. Nico Collins was a reliable target, racking up 98 receiving yards that helped keep the Texans' offense clicking throughout the game. This offensive firepower proved too much for the Commanders to handle. On the defensive side, the Texans made pivotal plays that shifted momentum. Reed Blankenship's two interceptions were game-changers, halting any potential scoring drives by Washington and giving Houston an upper hand. Despite Jeffery Simmons' strong performance with two sacks for the Commanders, it was the Texans' ability to capitalize on turnovers that ultimately defined the game's outcome.
