In a hard-fought contest, the Green Bay Packers narrowly defeated the Detroit Lions 24-19 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for a crucial win to maintain their playoff aspirations, the Packers showcased their resilience on the road, overcoming a late surge from the Lions. Josh Jacobs led the charge for Green Bay, rushing for a game-high 103 yards and finding the end zone, while Jared Goff of Detroit threw for 156 yards and a touchdown, making him the standout passer of the game. Amon-Ra St. Brown also contributed significantly for the Lions, racking up 73 receiving yards, but ultimately, it wasn’t enough to secure victory. The defensive units made their presence known, with the Packers' Devonte Wyatt recording a key sack that disrupted Detroit's momentum late in the game. Jack Campbell’s interception for the Lions provided a glimmer of hope, but it was the Packers' ability to withstand pressure and make critical stops that defined the contest. The turning point came when Green Bay's defense held strong in the final minutes, allowing them to escape with a narrow victory.
