In a pivotal Week 7 matchup, the Atlanta Falcons topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 21-7. This victory not only boosts Atlanta's momentum but also puts them in a stronger position as they chase a playoff berth in the competitive NFC landscape. Brock Purdy led the 49ers through the air, throwing for 197 yards, but it was Bijan Robinson's ground game that shined for the Falcons, racking up 74 rushing yards. Mike Evans also made a mark for San Francisco, contributing 60 yards receiving, but the 49ers struggled to convert those yardages into points. Defensively, the Falcons were bolstered by Jalon Walker, who recorded a crucial sack that disrupted Purdy’s rhythm at a key moment in the game. Despite Upton Stout's standout performance for San Francisco with nine tackles, the 49ers' defense couldn't contain Atlanta's offensive onslaught, marking a significant turning point in the second half that allowed the Falcons to pull away and secure the win.
