In a commanding performance, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Arizona Cardinals 42-14 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This matchup was crucial for both teams as they looked to gain momentum early in the season, but it was the Seahawks who asserted their dominance on the road. Jalen Milroe was a standout for Seattle, rushing for an impressive 136 yards, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba made his mark in the passing game with 193 receiving yards. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy put up strong numbers for the Cardinals with 404 passing yards and four touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Seahawks' explosive offensive attack. Defensively, Seattle made key stops and consistently pressured McCarthy, with Byron Murphy II recording a sack that disrupted the Cardinals' rhythm. The game's turning point came when the Seahawks capitalized on a turnover, quickly scoring to extend their lead, effectively putting the game out of reach for Arizona. Nick Emmanwori led the team with three tackles, helping to anchor a defense that stifled the Cardinals' attempts to mount a comeback.
