The Green Bay Packers kicked off the 2026 season with a solid 24-18 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, setting a competitive tone for the weeks ahead. This season opener was crucial for both teams, as they aimed to establish early momentum in a tightly contested division. Offensively, it was a strong showing for both sides, but the Packers took the spotlight with Josh Jacobs rushing for 110 yards, showcasing his ability to dominate on the ground. Kyler Murray of the Vikings kept pace through the air, throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns, but it was Christian Watson who made a significant impact for Green Bay, racking up 87 receiving yards to help secure the win. Defensively, the game shifted when Micah Parsons registered three sacks, applying relentless pressure on Murray and disrupting Minnesota's rhythm. Cobie Durant's interception provided a critical turnover for the Vikings, but it was the Packers' ability to capitalize on their defensive stops that ultimately sealed the game. As the clock wound down, Green Bay's defense held firm, allowing them to outlast Minnesota and start the season on a high note.
