The Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders with a final score of 29-21 in a critical Week 17 matchup. With playoff implications on the line, the Jaguars solidified their position as contenders, while the Commanders faced disappointment in their quest for postseason glory. Trevor Lawrence was the standout performer for Jacksonville, throwing for 269 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense with precision. Bhayshul Tuten contributed on the ground with 44 rushing yards, providing a balanced attack that kept the Commanders' defense on their heels. Terry McLaurin led Washington's receiving corps with 65 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Jaguars' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Jaguars were bolstered by Nate Landman's interception, which proved critical in shifting momentum. The Commanders' Leo Chenal had a strong showing with eight total tackles and two sacks, but the Jaguars' ability to capitalize on key moments ultimately determined the outcome. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Landman's interception set up a touchdown that sealed the victory for Jacksonville.
