In a dominating performance, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Houston Texans 47-13 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. This victory solidifies the Chargers' position as a formidable contender in the league, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive resilience against the Texans. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert led the charge with an impressive 255 passing yards and four touchdowns, delivering a stellar performance that kept the Texans' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Omarion Hampton was a force on the ground, racking up 147 rushing yards, adding to the Chargers' offensive explosion. The combination of Herbert’s aerial assault and Hampton’s ground game proved too much for Houston to handle. Defensively, Donte Jackson was a standout for the Chargers, securing two critical interceptions that swung momentum in favor of Los Angeles. The turning point came early in the second half when Jackson's second pick led to a touchdown drive, extending the Chargers' lead and effectively putting the game out of reach for the Texans. Despite strong individual efforts from Texans players like Nico Collins, who amassed 157 receiving yards, the Houston defense struggled to contain the Chargers’ offensive onslaught.
