In a commanding performance, the Atlanta Falcons defeated the San Francisco 49ers 45-7 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the Falcons showcased their dominance, leaving no doubt as to who controlled the game from start to finish. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was the star of the show, throwing for an impressive 333 yards and four touchdowns, demonstrating pinpoint accuracy and poise in the pocket. Jahan Dotson emerged as his favorite target, racking up 148 receiving yards and making several key catches to keep drives alive. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson provided a strong ground game, contributing 96 rushing yards that helped maintain Atlanta's offensive momentum. Defensively, the Falcons were able to disrupt the 49ers' rhythm, highlighted by Samson Ebukam’s sack that stifled a crucial drive early in the first half. San Francisco's offense struggled to find any consistency, with Fred Warner leading the defensive efforts for the 49ers but unable to turn the tide. The game’s turning point came when the Falcons scored on consecutive drives in the second quarter, extending their lead and effectively putting the game out of reach.
