The Pittsburgh Steelers held off the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 31-21 in a competitive Week 5 matchup of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to secure a pivotal win, but the Steelers ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing their resilience on home turf. Aaron Rodgers led the Steelers' offense with a steady performance, throwing for a key touchdown while managing the game effectively. Daniel Jones of the Colts put up impressive passing numbers, amassing 278 yards through the air, but it was Alec Pierce's standout receiving effort of 134 yards that kept Indianapolis in the hunt. However, the Colts' rushing attack struggled to find its rhythm, with Rico Dowdle topping the Steelers' ground game with just 42 yards. The defensive performance from Payton Wilson was a game-changer, as he recorded three interceptions, effectively shutting down crucial drives from the Colts. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Wilson's third pick set the Steelers up for a touchdown, extending their lead and shifting the momentum firmly in their favor. With strong defensive play, Pittsburgh was able to maintain control and secure the win despite a valiant effort from Indianapolis.
