In a decisive victory to open the 2027 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Baltimore Ravens 34-17. With both teams eager to set the tone for the year, the Jaguars showcased their offensive prowess and solidified their position as early contenders in the AFC. Trevor Lawrence highlighted the Jaguars' offensive performance, throwing for 2 touchdowns and leading his team to a commanding win. Nick Singleton was a force on the ground, racking up 87 rushing yards and keeping the Ravens' defense on their heels. On the receiving end, the Ravens' Mark Andrews stood out with 90 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Jaguars’ balanced attack. Defensively, Jacksonville's Sauce Gardner made a significant impact with an interception that shifted momentum in favor of the Jaguars. While the Ravens' Vita Vea recorded a sack, the overall defensive effort from Jacksonville stifled Baltimore's scoring opportunities, especially in critical moments. The game turned when Gardner’s pick set up a touchdown drive, allowing the Jaguars to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
