In an exciting season opener, the Cincinnati Bengals outlasted the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 30-21. Both teams entered the game eager to make a statement in Week 1 of the 2027 season, but it was Cincinnati who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower. Joe Burrow was the standout performer for the Bengals, throwing for an impressive 400 yards and four touchdowns, demonstrating his command of the field. Tee Higgins also made significant contributions, racking up 133 receiving yards, and helping to stretch the Cardinals' defense throughout the game. Meanwhile, Jeremiyah Love led the Cardinals on the ground with 105 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Cincinnati's offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Bengals were bolstered by Jordan Battle, who made crucial plays with two interceptions, turning the tide in favor of Cincinnati. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Battle's second pick set up a touchdown that widened the lead to 17-7. Despite Josh Sweat’s strong performance for Arizona, including 1.5 sacks, the Bengals' defense effectively contained the Cardinals' momentum, sealing the win in the second half.
