In a dominant season opener, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Green Bay Packers 35-7, asserting their presence in the 2027 campaign. With both teams looking to make an early statement, the Raiders showcased their offensive prowess while the Packers struggled to keep pace. Fernando Mendoza led the Raiders' attack with a pinpoint passing performance, throwing for a touchdown and helping his team build a commanding lead. Meanwhile, the Packers' Jordan Love managed to compile 156 passing yards, but his efforts were overshadowed by the Raiders' balanced offensive assault. Josh Jacobs added a solid ground game for Green Bay with 68 rushing yards, yet it wasn't enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, Treydan Stukes was a standout for the Raiders, recording four total tackles and snagging an interception that shifted the momentum in the first half. The game's turning point came when Stukes intercepted a pass from Love, allowing the Raiders to capitalize and extend their lead. Edgerrin Cooper of the Packers did his part with a sack, but overall, the Raiders' defense was stifling, limiting Green Bay’s opportunities and securing a resounding victory.
