In an impressive display of dominance, the Washington Commanders topped the New York Giants 49-13 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. With this victory, the Commanders solidify their early-season momentum, showcasing their explosive offensive capabilities against a struggling Giants squad. Jayden Daniels was the star of the show, throwing for 275 yards and an impressive five touchdowns, leading the Commanders' offensive onslaught. Terry McLaurin emerged as his favorite target, racking up 153 receiving yards and finding the end zone multiple times. Curt Adcock added to the offensive balance with 62 rushing yards, further complicating the Giants' defensive efforts. Defensively, the Commanders were relentless, highlighted by Nick Cross's two interceptions that shifted the momentum firmly in their favor. With the game hanging in the balance, Cross's second pick not only thwarted a potential Giants scoring drive but also set up a quick touchdown that extended Washington’s lead. Donte Jackson's three tackles helped keep the pressure on the Giants, as the Commanders' defense effectively stifled any hope of a comeback.
