The Carolina Panthers decisively defeated the New Orleans Saints 40-14 in a Week 4 showdown of the 2027 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Panthers were looking to bounce back after a tough loss last week, and they delivered a dominant performance on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Haynes King led the Panthers with 155 passing yards, while Tank Bigsby added a significant contribution on the ground with 71 rushing yards. Kaden Prather was King’s top target, racking up 62 receiving yards and helping to stretch the field. Tyler Shough managed to throw one touchdown for the Saints, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Panthers' offensive explosion. Defensively, the Panthers were relentless, with Zakee Wheatley making a notable impact, recording five tackles and an interception that changed the momentum of the game. Joshua Josephs also contributed with a sack, making it difficult for the Saints' offense to find rhythm. The turning point came when Wheatley’s interception set up a quick touchdown drive, pushing the Panthers' lead to an insurmountable margin early in the second half.
