The Washington Commanders topped the Green Bay Packers with a decisive 48-26 victory in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This matchup was crucial for both teams as they aimed to solidify their standing in the playoff race, but it was the Commanders who emerged victorious in dominating fashion. Curt Adcock was the standout performer for Washington, rushing for an impressive 144 yards and adding to the Commanders' offensive firepower. Quarterback Jordan Love of the Packers also put up a commendable effort, throwing for 338 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield despite the loss. However, the Commanders' offensive balance proved too much for the Packers' defense to handle. Defensively, the game turned in favor of Washington when Sonny Styles intercepted a pass, shifting momentum decisively in the Commanders' favor. Green Bay's defense struggled to contain the Washington offense, as evidenced by the high scoreline, despite Edgerrin Cooper leading the team with four total tackles. Micah Parsons managed to record a sack, but it was not enough to stop Washington's relentless attack, sealing the game well before the final whistle.
