The New Orleans Saints held off the Washington Commanders with a final score of 17-10 in a tightly contested Week 6 matchup of the 2027 season. This win keeps the Saints in the playoff conversation while the Commanders look to bounce back in the weeks ahead. Offensively, it was Travis Etienne Jr. who shone brightest for the Saints, rushing for 102 yards and providing a key spark to their ground game. Meanwhile, Jayden Daniels led the Commanders with 173 passing yards and one touchdown, but his efforts were not enough to secure the victory. Terry McLaurin was the standout receiver in the game, racking up 112 yards, but Washington struggled to convert those opportunities into points. Defensively, Chase Young led the way for the Saints with seven total tackles, making crucial stops that kept the Commanders from gaining momentum. The turning point of the game came late in the fourth quarter when the Saints' defense held firm, stifling a potential game-tying drive from Washington. Despite a valiant effort, the Commanders' inability to find the end zone in critical moments ultimately sealed their fate.
