In a commanding performance, the New England Patriots topped the New York Jets 56-28 in Week 8 of the 2027 season. This victory solidifies the Patriots’ position in the playoff race, while the Jets continue to seek answers as they struggle to find consistency. Baker Mayfield, despite the loss, showcased his talent with an impressive 293 passing yards and four touchdowns. However, it was TreVeyon Henderson who stole the show for New England, racking up 193 rushing yards and contributing significantly to the team’s offensive onslaught. Kenyon Sadiq was a bright spot for the Jets, amassing 162 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Patriots. Defensively, the Patriots were able to disrupt the Jets’ rhythm with key plays. Marcus Jones led the team with four total tackles, while Germaine Pratt notched a sack, and Robert Spillane secured an interception, highlighting their defensive prowess. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Patriots scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Jets.
