In a tightly contested season opener, the Away team triumphed over the Home squad with a final score of 24-16. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to start the 2026 campaign on a strong note, but it was the Away team that ultimately emerged victorious. Jalen Hurts led the charge for the Home team, passing for 198 yards, while Saquon Barkley contributed a solid ground game with 62 rushing yards. However, it was Chigoziem Okonkwo from the Away team who stole the spotlight with 95 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to make big plays when it mattered most. Defensively, the Away team made their presence felt, with Sonny Styles recording a game-high seven total tackles and Odafe Oweh adding a crucial sack. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Cooper DeJean intercepted Hurts twice, stifling any chance of a comeback and sealing the victory for the Away team.
