The Detroit Lions dominated the Chicago Bears with a final score of 65-14, solidifying their position as a playoff contender in Week 16 of the 2027 season. The stakes were high for both teams, but the Lions showcased their offensive prowess, leaving the Bears struggling to keep pace. Jahmyr Gibbs was the standout performer for Detroit, rushing for an astonishing 439 yards and finding the end zone multiple times. On the other side, Caleb Williams of the Bears threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns, but his efforts were overshadowed by a relentless Lions attack. T.J. Zimmerman also made a notable contribution for Chicago, racking up 143 receiving yards. Defensively, the Lions were able to stifle the Bears’ momentum at key moments, highlighted by Jack Campbell’s two interceptions, which shifted the tide of the game. Despite Marcus Davenport's lone sack for Chicago, the Bears' defense struggled to contain the Lions' explosive offense. This game turned decisively in the second quarter when the Lions scored three unanswered touchdowns, effectively sealing the victory.
