In a decisive victory, the Washington Commanders topped the Dallas Cowboys 35-14 in the Divisional Round of the 2026 season. With this win, Washington advances in the playoffs, showcasing their dominance against a formidable rival in the NFC East. Jayden Daniels was the standout performer for the Commanders, throwing for 228 yards and three touchdowns, effectively leading his team’s offensive attack. Jacory Croskey-Merritt added to the offensive fireworks with 92 rushing yards, while KaVontae Turpin kept the Cowboys in the game with a solid 98 receiving yards. Dak Prescott did his best to rally Dallas, finishing with 269 passing yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Washington's offensive prowess. The Commanders' defense played a crucial role in securing this victory, with Amik Robertson notching eight total tackles and Quan Martin making a game-changing impact with two interceptions. The turning point came in the third quarter when Martin’s first interception set up a quick touchdown drive, allowing Washington to pull away and ultimately seal the game. The Cowboys struggled to respond, as the Commanders’ defensive unit maintained relentless pressure throughout the contest.
