In a commanding performance, the Houston Texans cruised to a 41-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 of the 2027 season. With this win, the Texans solidified their place in the playoff race, showcasing their offensive prowess against a struggling Colts team. Joe Flacco led the charge for Houston, throwing for an impressive 396 yards and four touchdowns, demonstrating pinpoint accuracy and impressive decision-making throughout the matchup. Though the ground game was limited, with David Montgomery managing just 16 rushing yards, the Texans’ aerial attack proved more than enough to secure the win. Meanwhile, Tyler Warren stood out for the Colts, racking up 166 receiving yards, but it was not enough to keep pace with Flacco's explosive performance. Defensively, the Texans were effective enough to disrupt the Colts' rhythm, with Tarvarius Moore leading the team in tackles with three. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Houston scored two quick touchdowns, stretching their lead to 21-3 and forcing the Colts to play catch-up. Despite a valiant effort from Indianapolis' Micah Parsons, who recorded a sack, and Charvarius Ward Sr., who snagged two interceptions, the Texans' offense proved too potent to contain.
