In a decisive matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Chicago Bears 34-21, securing their position in the competitive NFC North. This Week 5 clash was crucial for both teams, as the Lions sought to establish dominance while the Bears aimed to bounce back from previous losses. Jared Goff showcased his prowess under center, throwing for 297 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team to a comfortable victory. Complementing Goff's performance, Jahmyr Gibbs added a solid 83 rushing yards, while Amon-Ra St. Brown stood out as the top receiver with 112 yards, providing critical targets throughout the game. Defensively, Derrick Moore made his mark with two sacks, applying consistent pressure on the Bears' offense. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Goff connected with St. Brown for a touchdown that shifted momentum firmly in the Lions' favor. Although Devin Bush recorded ten tackles for Chicago, it wasn't enough to stifle Detroit's offensive onslaught.
