In a high-octane showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the New England Patriots 61-42 in Week 6 of the 2027 season. The victory propels the Jaguars further into playoff contention while the Patriots struggle to find their footing in a competitive conference. Trevor Lawrence was the star for Jacksonville, throwing for an impressive 425 yards and setting a new franchise record with 7 touchdown passes. His connection with Brashard Smith, who racked up 141 receiving yards, was particularly lethal, allowing the Jaguars to dominate the aerial game. Meanwhile, TreVeyon Henderson's 281 rushing yards for New England kept the pressure on Jacksonville, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with their explosive offense. Defensively, Foyesade Oluokun stood out for the Jaguars, recording 5 total tackles and snagging two critical interceptions that shifted momentum in favor of Jacksonville. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Oluokun's first interception led to a quick touchdown drive, pushing the Jaguars ahead and forcing the Patriots to play catch-up for the remainder of the contest. Christian Barmore's 1.5 sacks for New England provided some resistance, but ultimately, it was the Jaguars' defense that made the decisive plays when it mattered most.
