In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the Carolina Panthers topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a score of 24-10, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The win was crucial for the Panthers, as they aim to maintain momentum heading into the second half of the season. Carolina's Bryce Young showcased his passing prowess, racking up 237 yards through the air, while Baker Mayfield found the end zone once for Tampa Bay, but it wasn't enough to keep pace. The Panthers also featured a balanced offensive attack, with Chuba Hubbard contributing 56 rushing yards and Xavier Legette leading the receiving corps with 79 yards, making plays when it counted. Defensively, the Panthers were relentless, with Jaelan Phillips dominating the line of scrimmage and recording an impressive 4.5 sacks, which disrupted Tampa Bay's offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Phillips' pressure forced a critical turnover, allowing Carolina to capitalize and extend their lead, ultimately sealing the victory.
