In a high-scoring affair, the Houston Texans topped the Buffalo Bills 51-28 in Week 9 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Texans delivered a dominant performance, showcasing their offensive prowess while the Bills struggled to keep pace. Joe Flacco led the charge for Houston, throwing for three touchdowns and contributing significantly to their explosive offense. David Montgomery added a strong ground game with 94 rushing yards, while the Texans’ aerial attack kept the Buffalo defense on its heels. Despite a standout performance from Josh Allen, who passed for 326 yards for the Bills, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Texans' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Texans made their mark with Will Anderson Jr. recording an impressive 2.5 sacks, disrupting Allen's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Houston's defense forced key turnovers, allowing the Texans to seize momentum and build an insurmountable lead. Although the Bills' Jordan Hancock led with four tackles and Davison Igbinosun made two interceptions, the defensive efforts were overshadowed by Houston's relentless offensive onslaught.
