In a decisive matchup in Week 12 of the 2026 season, the Detroit Lions defeated the Chicago Bears with a final score of 33-10. With playoff implications on the line, the Lions showcased their dominance and secured a critical victory at home. Jared Goff led the Lions' offense with 208 passing yards and a touchdown, delivering a steady performance that kept the chains moving. Sam LaPorta emerged as the top target, racking up 77 receiving yards, while Jahmyr Gibbs contributed significantly on the ground with 57 rushing yards. The balanced offensive attack proved too much for the Bears to handle throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Lions made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor, highlighted by Brian Branch's interception that halted a potential Bears scoring drive. While D.J. Reed notched a half-sack, it was the collective effort that held the Bears to just 10 points. The turning point came when the Lions scored back-to-back touchdowns in the second quarter, creating an insurmountable lead that the Bears could never recover from.
