In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Buffalo Bills 35-10 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. With this victory, the Lions look to assert their dominance early in the season, while the Bills face questions about their ability to compete at a high level. Jared Goff led the Lions' offense with 204 passing yards, showcasing precision and poise, while Jahmyr Gibbs added a strong ground game with 86 rushing yards. Jameson Williams was the standout receiver, racking up 87 yards and keeping the Bills' secondary on their heels throughout the contest. The Lions' balanced attack proved too much for Buffalo to handle. Defensively, the Lions made key plays when it mattered most, with Kerby Joseph snagging an interception that shifted the momentum in the first half. Although the Bills' Terrel Bernard tallied nine total tackles, they struggled to contain the Lions' offensive onslaught. The turning point came when Detroit scored back-to-back touchdowns in the second quarter, effectively putting the game out of reach for Buffalo.
