In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Dallas Cowboys with a commanding final score of 54-22, securing their playoff positioning with a dominant performance. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to solidify their status heading into the postseason, but it was the 49ers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess. Leading the charge for San Francisco was quarterback Tyler Shough, who threw for an impressive 392 yards and four touchdowns, demonstrating pinpoint accuracy and excellent decision-making throughout the game. Complementing Shough's efforts, Chris Johnson Jr. added 92 rushing yards, while Ja'Marr Chase emerged as a standout receiver, racking up 170 yards and finding the end zone, making big plays that kept the Cowboys' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Cowboys struggled to contain the 49ers' explosive offense, though Francis Brewu made his mark with three sacks. The turning point came in the second quarter when Shough connected with Chase for a 75-yard touchdown, swinging the momentum heavily in favor of San Francisco. Despite Trey Amos leading the Cowboys with ten total tackles, the defense couldn't stem the tide as the 49ers surged to an overwhelming victory.
