With both teams vying for a strong postseason position, every play mattered, and the Chiefs proved they could deliver under pressure. Leading the charge for Kansas City was quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who threw for four touchdowns, making critical plays when it counted most. On the other side, Paul Crewe of the Buccaneers showcased his passing prowess with 327 yards, while Tyler Allgeier added a strong ground game with 109 rushing yards. Thomas Jones was also a standout, racking up 108 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chiefs' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Chiefs were anchored by Patrick Surtain II, who recorded five total tackles, and Malachi Lawrence, who made his presence felt with 1.5 sacks. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Iamaleava connected on a key touchdown pass to extend the lead, forcing the Buccaneers to play catch-up for the remainder of the contest. Kansas City's defense ultimately stifled Tampa Bay's late-game efforts, ensuring their victory.
