The Miami Dolphins narrowly defeated the Indianapolis Colts 24-21 in a thrilling Week 16 matchup that had playoff implications on the line. With both teams vying for a better position in the postseason race, the stakes were high as they faced off in this pivotal game. Caleb Williams led the Dolphins' offense with 132 passing yards, providing just enough support for a dominant ground game. Bucky Irving was the standout on the field, rushing for 105 yards and finding the end zone, while Drake Maye of the Colts countered with two touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air. Christian Watson topped the receiving charts for Indianapolis with 84 yards, but it wasn't enough to secure victory. On the defensive side, Terrel Bernard led the Colts with five total tackles, but it was the Dolphins' ability to stifle the Colts' big plays that proved crucial. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Miami's defense stepped up, limiting the Colts' options and forcing a turnover on downs. As tension mounted, the Dolphins held off a late surge by Indianapolis, ensuring their triumph in a hard-fought contest.
