In a dominant performance, the Atlanta Falcons topped the Carolina Panthers 34-7 in Week 5 of the 2028 season. The Falcons capitalized on their home-field advantage, showcasing their skills and establishing a strong foothold in the division. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers led the charge for Atlanta, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns, effectively controlling the game through the air. Jam Miller added a solid ground game with 82 rushing yards, contributing to the Falcons' balanced attack. Meanwhile, Chris Brazzell II shone for the Panthers, racking up 120 receiving yards, but it was not enough to keep pace with Atlanta's offense. Defensively, the Falcons were relentless, with Rueben Bain Jr. making a significant impact by recording 1.5 sacks. This pressure on the quarterback was a turning point, forcing the Panthers into critical mistakes and limiting their scoring opportunities. Atlanta's defense played a pivotal role in securing the victory, stifling Carolina's efforts and ensuring the game's outcome was never in doubt.
