In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the New Orleans Saints topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-23, securing an important division victory early in the 2028 season. Both teams sought to establish their dominance in the NFC South, but it was the Saints who came out on top, showcasing their offensive firepower. New Orleans was led by quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr., who threw for two touchdowns, while Raleek Brown made a significant impact on the ground with 100 rushing yards. The standout performance came from De'Zhaun Stribling, who torched the Buccaneers’ secondary for an impressive 150 receiving yards, helping the Saints maintain control of the game. Defensively, New Orleans made key plays when it mattered most, with Josiah Trotter snagging an interception to halt a potential Buccaneers comeback. Tampa Bay's defense, featuring Adon Shuler's 11 total tackles and JT Tuimoloau's two sacks, kept the game competitive, but ultimately, it was the Saints' timely defensive stops that turned the tide in their favor, ensuring their victory in this hard-fought contest.
