In a stunning display of offensive prowess, the Atlanta Falcons routed the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 56-10 in Week 2 of the 2028 season. This decisive victory not only boosts the Falcons' confidence but also sets a high bar early in the campaign for teams aiming for playoff contention. Leading the charge for Atlanta was quarterback LaNorris Sellers, who turned in a jaw-dropping performance with 625 passing yards and seven touchdowns. His main target, Ted Hurst III, was equally impressive, racking up 218 receiving yards, showcasing a dynamic connection that proved too much for the Cardinals’ defense to handle. Meanwhile, Arizona's Jaylen Wright provided some bright moments on the ground, rushing for 123 yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Falcons' explosive offense. The Atlanta defense played a crucial role in the game’s outcome, highlighted by Colin Simmons, who not only led the team with six tackles but also recorded three sacks. The turning point came in the second quarter when Atlanta's defense forced a turnover, allowing Sellers and the offense to capitalize and extend their lead. The Cardinals struggled to recover from that momentum shift, ultimately succumbing to the Falcons' relentless attack.
