In a high-scoring showdown, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Denver Broncos with a decisive 47-28 victory in Week 2 of the 2028 season. With playoff aspirations on the line early in the season, this win solidifies Kansas City's status as a contender while leaving Denver searching for answers. Chiefs quarterback Jalin Hyatt was the standout performer, racking up an impressive 121 receiving yards, demonstrating his ability to stretch the field and make big plays. Meanwhile, Denver's Fernando Mendoza put up solid numbers with 286 passing yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the explosive Kansas City offense. Defensively, the Chiefs made crucial plays at key moments, with Lorenzo Styles Jr. leading the team with five total tackles. Yaya Diaby contributed a sack, putting pressure on Mendoza and disrupting the Broncos' rhythm. The turning point came when Sonny Styles intercepted a pass in the second half, shifting momentum firmly in favor of Kansas City and sealing their commanding win.
