In a commanding performance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the New Orleans Saints with a final score of 48-17 in Week 18 of the 2026 season. This victory not only solidified the Buccaneers' dominance in the division but also showcased their offensive prowess as they head into the postseason. Matthew Stafford was the star of the game, throwing for an impressive 493 yards and six touchdowns, leading his team with pinpoint accuracy. CeeDee Lamb was his favorite target, racking up 241 receiving yards, while Warrick Dunn contributed solidly on the ground with 85 rushing yards. The Buccaneers' offensive line provided stellar protection, allowing Stafford to exploit the Saints' secondary throughout the game. Defensively, the Buccaneers made key plays that shifted momentum, highlighted by Ted Hendricks' interception that thwarted a potential scoring drive for New Orleans. Despite the Saints' efforts, including 1.5 sacks from Travon Walker and a team-high nine tackles from Will Clapp, they struggled to contain Tampa Bay’s explosive offense. The turning point came when Stafford connected for three touchdowns in quick succession, effectively putting the game out of reach before halftime.
