The Buffalo Bills topped the Denver Broncos 24-13 in a pivotal Week 16 matchup, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season winds down. With both teams vying for momentum, the Bills' victory showcased their offensive prowess and defensive resilience. Justin Fields led the charge for Buffalo, throwing for two touchdowns and keeping the chains moving throughout the game. Marshawn Beastmode added a powerful ground attack with 103 rushing yards, proving to be a key component in controlling the tempo. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts put up respectable numbers for Denver with 188 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Buffalo's defense played a crucial role in the outcome, highlighted by Montez Sweat's disruptive performance, which included 1.5 sacks. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Sweat's pressure on Hurts led to a critical turnover, allowing Buffalo to extend their lead. Harrison Smith's seven tackles for the Broncos kept the defense engaged, but ultimately, it was the Bills' ability to capitalize on opportunities that sealed the game.
