The Houston Texans topped the Washington Commanders 35-24 in a crucial Week 14 matchup, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With both teams fighting for postseason positioning, the Texans showcased their offensive prowess to secure the victory. Leading the charge for Houston was quarterback Joe Milton, who threw for an impressive 313 yards and three touchdowns, connecting consistently with his receivers. Andre Johnson shone brightly, racking up 115 receiving yards, while the ground game was less impactful, with TreVeyon Henderson managing only 22 rushing yards. The Texans’ offensive efficiency proved too much for the Commanders to handle. On the defensive side, the Texans made their presence known with a strong effort, highlighted by Will Anderson Jr.'s three total tackles and a sack from Jalen Carter. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Houston's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing Milton and the offense to capitalize and extend their lead. Despite an interception from Marques Sigle of the Commanders, Washington couldn’t recover from the Texans' relentless offensive onslaught.
