In a thrilling Week 10 matchup, the New York Giants narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders with a final score of 30-24. This victory keeps the Giants in contention for a playoff spot as they continue to build momentum halfway through the 2026 season. Giants quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was the star of the game, throwing for 241 yards and one touchdown, leading his team’s offensive efforts. De'Von Achane contributed significantly on the ground with 67 rushing yards, while Rashee Rice of the Commanders shined in the receiving game, racking up 101 yards despite the loss. Defensively, the Giants were led by Trent McDuffie, who tallied eight total tackles, helping to stifle the Commanders' offensive drives. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Giants' defense held strong, preventing a potential game-tying touchdown and securing their victory. George Karlaftis recorded 1.5 sacks for Washington, but it wasn't enough to overcome New York's well-rounded performance.
