In a thrilling showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Houston Texans 71-63 in Week 6 of the 2026 season, a game that had significant playoff implications. Both teams showcased their offensive prowess, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious in a high-scoring affair. Joe Milton of the Texans had a standout performance, throwing for an impressive 567 yards and six touchdowns, solidifying his status as a premier quarterback in this league. However, it was Lamar Jackson's explosive 183 rushing yards that propelled the Jaguars' offense, keeping the Texans' defense on their heels. Andre Johnson also shined for Houston, racking up 178 receiving yards to keep his team competitive. Defensively, the Jaguars made key plays that turned the tide in their favor. Tronald Dump’s two sacks were pivotal in disrupting Milton’s rhythm, while D'Angelo Ponds led the team with five tackles, helping to contain the Texans' explosive offense when it mattered most. The game’s turning point came in the fourth quarter, when Jacksonville managed to hold off a late surge from Houston, securing their victory and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
