In an extraordinary defensive showdown, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Tennessee Titans 2-0 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to solidify their positions in a tightly contested division, but it was the Texans who emerged victorious in a battle where points were at a premium. Despite the low score, Tennessee’s Malik Willis showcased his dual-threat capability, throwing for 160 yards and rushing for 44 more. On the other side, Joe Milton managed to connect for a touchdown, which ultimately proved to be the decisive moment in a game dominated by defense. Adonai Mitchell also made a significant impact for the Titans, leading all receivers with 80 yards. Defensively, both teams were relentless, but it was the Texans' efforts that secured the win. Jalen Carter was a standout, contributing 1.5 sacks and applying consistent pressure on Willis throughout the game. DJ Turner II led the Texans with three tackles, while Sonny Styles of the Titans managed to snag an interception, but it was the Texans' ability to limit scoring that ultimately turned the tide in their favor.
