In a commanding performance, the Washington Commanders topped the Indianapolis Colts 45-21 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. This victory was crucial for the Commanders as they look to solidify their position in the playoff race while the Colts aim to rebound after a tough loss. Drake Maye led the Colts with a strong showing, throwing for 257 yards and two touchdowns, but it was Jaydon Blue who stole the spotlight on the ground for Washington, racking up an impressive 167 rushing yards. Additionally, Colston Loveland was a standout in the receiving game for Indianapolis, accumulating 142 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Commanders' offensive firepower. The game turned decisively in Washington's favor thanks to a stout defensive effort, highlighted by Arnold Ebiketie's two sacks and Christian Benford's interception. These defensive plays disrupted the Colts' rhythm and contributed significantly to the Commanders' ability to maintain control. With Marlon Humphrey leading the way for Indianapolis with five total tackles, it was clear that the Colts struggled to contain the explosive Washington offense, sealing their fate in this matchup.
