In a thrilling Week 2 showdown, the Indianapolis Colts outlasted the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 42-35. Both teams entered this matchup looking to establish early momentum in the 2026 season, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower. Drake Maye led the Colts' charge with an impressive three touchdown passes, while Breece Hall proved to be a dual threat, racking up 128 receiving yards along with 88 rushing yards. Joe Montana of the Chiefs put up a valiant effort with 356 passing yards but fell short in the end, unable to keep pace with the Colts' explosive plays. Defensively, the Colts made critical stops, highlighted by Nik Bonitto's 1.5 sacks, which pressured the Chiefs' offense at crucial moments. The game's turning point came in the second half when the Colts' defense forced a turnover, allowing their offense to extend the lead and ultimately secure the win. Jamel Dean's two interceptions for Kansas City were impressive, but they weren't enough to shift the momentum back in the Chiefs' favor.
