In a thrilling showdown, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers outlasted the Cleveland Browns with a final score of 31-24 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. Both teams were eager to secure their first victory of the season, but it was the Buccaneers who ultimately came out on top, showcasing their offensive prowess. Matthew Stafford led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for an impressive 306 yards and contributing significantly to the team's success. On the other side, Tyler Shough of the Browns tossed two touchdown passes, while Tre Tucker put on a dazzling performance on the ground, racking up 168 rushing yards. Mike Evans emerged as a key target for the Buccaneers, finishing with 106 receiving yards, solidifying his role as a go-to weapon for Stafford. Defensively, the game was marked by standout plays from both teams, but it was the Buccaneers' Coby Bryant who made the difference with two crucial interceptions. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Bryant's second pick shifted momentum back to Tampa Bay, allowing them to maintain their lead despite a late push from the Browns. With Nick Bosa contributing two sacks for Cleveland, the defensive efforts were notable, yet ultimately it was Tampa's timely defense that sealed the victory.
