The Minnesota Vikings dominated the Chicago Bears with a commanding 31-0 victory in Week 18, solidifying their position as a playoff contender while leaving Chicago with a disappointing end to their season. The stakes were high, but the Bears were unable to muster any offensive momentum against a relentless Vikings squad. Michael Penix Jr. led the Vikings' offensive charge, throwing for two touchdowns and helping his team secure a comfortable lead. Bucky Irving added to the ground game with 53 rushing yards, while Tim Patrick was the standout receiver for the Bears with 68 yards, though it wasn't enough to spark any scoring opportunities for Chicago. Defensively, Zaven Collins was a force for Minnesota, racking up 4 total tackles and an impressive 3.5 sacks, which disrupted the Bears' passing game throughout the contest. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Collins' defensive pressure led to a pivotal interception by Carson Schwesinger, setting the tone for a one-sided affair that the Vikings would never relinquish.
